THE NEW MAN

That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
(EPHESIANS 4:22-24)

So many times I come across people who call themselves Christians and yet they do so many worldly things. They drink, smoke, do drugs, and have sex. But, it’s not even that severe. How about those people who lie, backstab, gossip, and even those who refuse to tell those around them about God. These are also sins. But I think we get so caught up in our lives that we forget to give God the time he deserves. Then, when we lose our job, get sick, get into a horrible accident we can’t seem to figure out why. We forget that God only gives to us what we give to Him. If we’re too busy for Him, there’s going to be a point where He’s too busy to listen to us.

But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
(COLOSSIANS 3:8-10)

As Christians the only things we should be doing are those things God commands us to do in his word.
